Legarda is Top Campaign Fund Raiser

Loren Legarda, the topnotcher in the senatorial race, received the greatest amount
of campaign contributions among the 12 elected senators, documents obtained by Newsbreak showed.
Total contributions to Legarda’s campaign amounted to P 86.5 million while her expenses reached P86.192 million, her statement of election contributions and expenditures (SCE) shows. We obtained this from the office of her legal counsel, Sixto Brillantes.
Legarda’s party, the Nationalist People Coalition, donated the largest amount, P10.8 million, to her campaign.
