without comments

Weeks before the election, I was able to chat with a friend who is now based in Singapore and asked her about the overseas absentee voting in that island-state. My friend said that most Filipinos in Singapore did not vote because they feel that their votes would not be counted. A Tough Week Ahead

without comments

On Monday, after casting my vote in Batangas, I will return to the metropolis immediately to do my assignments for Newsbreak’s election coverage.
I was assigned to monitor local elections in a city and a town in the Ilocos region. I will also be monitoring the results of the party-list, local absentee and the overseas absentee voting.
I just hope that everything will turn out well and that nothing bad will happen while all of us are doing our assignments.

Two senatorial candidates and four organizations vying for congressional seats vowed on Friday to support the reproductive health bill, whose passage in the last two Congresses has been blocked by forces influenced by the Catholic Church.
In a forum organized by the Reproductive Health Action Network, only two of the 25 invited senatorial candidates—Panfilo Lacson and Sonia Roco of the Genuine Opposition—showed up to give their stand on reproductive health.
